Combination Hair

I thought that once I did the Big Chop and cut off all my relaxed ends I would be dealing with a uniform texture on my head. Sadly, that is not the case. The majority of my hair is thick, dense, and tightly curled. The section starting at the nape of my neck and going up to the top of my ears is not as dense, the hair is softer, and the curls are looser and better defined. I barely have to do anything to make that section look great. I know that I will love the thick hair when it gets longer, but right now with this short Afro I wish my whole head was covered with the soft curls. This situation lends credence to the idea that women are never satisfied with their looks :-).
