I've done gratefulness posts on Thanksgivings past, and here I am again. This year, though, I'm thankful for a few unusual things. I'm thankful for our lazy, hazy holiday.
We didn't go anywhere or do anything today. ABM and I stayed in our pajamas and watched TV while the kids played video games and did needlework. Dinner was a heat-and-serve affair that only took about an hour for me to prepare, but the prep time was no reflection on how much we enjoyed it. We didn't have to turbo-clean the house or deal with relatives. It was the best Thanksgiving day in recent memory.
I probably won't be lucky enough to have this type of holiday again. It won't be long before my kids are bringing me spouses and grandkids to entertain. That's why I'm taking a moment to appreciate this year's lazy and unconventional Thanksgiving.

That actually sounds nice. I think I'd be more like that if I had to work full time. But since I don't get a lot of grownup time (not as much as I used to anyway), I like the idea of having a lot of people over. Plus it's just Brad's family, and I really don't have to worry much about what they think. lol.
