Music Monday: Kate Nash "Nicest Thing"

This Kate Nash video is for a song that makes me tear up every time I hear it, "Nicest Thing". It is from her album called Made of Bricks. I'm not sure if Kate Nash gets a lot of airplay on Top 40 stations here in the States. I first heard of her when her song "Merry Happy" was used on the TV show Privileged.

Songs like this one with simple instrumentation touch me more than the grand sweeping Celine Dion-style songs that are designed to get to you. In the video, Nash has that uneasy look of a teenage girl who isn't sure if she wants to spill her guts like this. I've included the lyrics below to make sure you capture the beauty of them.
